In a stunning electoral display, the BJP has swept the Nandigram bypoll with a record margin, securing over 1.2 lakh votes. Hasi Rani Rath, mother of Chandranath Rath—an aide to Suvendu Adhikari who was allegedly shot dead in May—has emerged victorious. The party's success in Rejinagar, where they defeated their nearest rival by more than 75,000 votes, adds to this significant win.

However, this victory raises urgent questions about the state of governance and public safety in West Bengal. What accountability measures are in place for the tragic death of Chandranath Rath? How will the government ensure justice for his family and the community affected by this violence? As citizens of India, we must demand transparency and action from our leaders, particularly in the face of rising political tensions and violence.

As reported by NDTV, the electoral success of the BJP cannot overshadow the pressing need for justice and safety for ordinary citizens. The government must address these fundamental issues as it seeks to strengthen its mandate. The people deserve answers and assurance that their lives and rights are protected.
